Architected from the ground up the data backend (NoSQL, SQL, Elasticsearch) for a new door-to-door sales tracking application for mobile devices in both Microsoft C# and Python Django. • Created from the ground up a REST API backed by Postgresql and MongoDB with unit/functional tests. • Built all Elasticsearch functionality for geolocation and reporting with advanced analyzers and synonyms.Delivered several important releases of a large scale, web-based virtual machine interactive environment for large classrooms of students. • Built a searchable help system with faceting for categories, autosuggestions, search highlighting, nGram keyword substring matching, phrase matching and fuzzy queries. • Built several new database features for managing virtual machines in more powerful ways. • Setup staging and production cluster of Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ and PostgreSQL.

In a Linux environment, deployed Java J2EE applications to Tomcat and Apache HTTPD for creating and harvesting XML content and related images for public display online for many libraries in France. • Reworked the database connections to work properly with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or HSQLDB. Also worked with XML database eXist for clients to generate specific XML content. • Developed functionality to support several XML specifications including OAI-PMH Harvesting, Dublin Core, EAD (Encoded Archival Description), also ARK (Archival Resource Key) URLs. • Worked together with the other developers to deploy new features for several public libraries and research organizations in France including the city of Grenoble, Orléans, and the bank Crédit Agricole. • Applied internationalization in English, French, Chinese and German to all new components and provided up-to-date technical and user documentation to the client.

Primary focus has been on installing, configuring and customizing ATG (Art Technology Group) software. ATG delivers knowledge management, search, reporting, e-commerce and development software in Java. • Helped bodybuilding.com optimize their ATG Search Engines and properly apply ATG Merchandising to their ATG Commerce data with Oracle as the major database provider. • Rebuilt AT&T's global search landing page to handle searching from all of their different sites in one place. Added autosuggest functionality, related searches, past searches, AJAX / Prototype interaction with a SOLR web service for an interactive phone searching tool, Baynote and Google Appliance interaction, tabs, collapsible sections and other filters for search results. • Customized PayPal's Help Center site by adding a new topic tree that expands and contracts so users could browse help articles by topic. Installed and configured several new environments with the latest ATG applications for PayPal. • Installed ATG Platform, Self Service, Knowledge, Search, Siebel Integrations and ACI (Reports) in their development and production environments for LSI. Migrated several thousand solutions from their old Primus knowledge system to their new ATG system. • Spent two weeks in San Francisco California receiving ATG training on ATG Development, Content Administration and Installation of ATG on Jboss. • Built a custom ATG module for Boeing for them to upload files to their ATG server.
