CTN is a Technology CompanyI started my career as a Systems Engineer - learning operating systems, database systems and development practices / I then became a SQL admin and application developer. I am also a skilled Systems Admin of Microsoft and Linux Servers (instances), of workstations/servers, both on premise and Cloud.As a skilled developer, I have solid knowledge and expertise of various platforms, design patterns and application types (front end , middle tier (API), back end, etc; what we call "full stack" today). I've done many years of Microsoft development (.net, and core) and Linux (open source) development. I'm experienced with several of the newer CRM systems and their respective architectures and operations (Sales Force, Sugar CRM, etc.). I have experience with javascript, PHP and others and with OS scripting via powershell and bash). IOT (embedded os and apps) and device development and integration is another area where I can add value. I've worked on Arduino, Raspberry Pi and SBC projects. I'm a database expert (SQL Server and MySQL) with many years of database application development.In DevOps, I'm experienced in systems administration, database/datastore subsystems, application development and business solutions. I manage servers, mission critical applications and user's (workstations and clients).I also try to stay current on leading/innovative/promising technologies; For example, I have recently absorbed an in-depth knowledge of "BlockChains" (to keep it current). Drones, UAVs and the idea of "flying cars" are an active hobby, interest area. Energy Technology is also an interest area.I've migrated several clients and businesses to cloud versions of their on-site applications/servers. I can manage, administer and provision servers/services that operate in these cloud offerings. I've configured and deployed containerized apps to GPS, Azure and AWS.

As Troyer Group's Technology Director, I managed several on premise servers including email, file servers and application servers. I upgraded the servers, CAD workstations and the network during my tenure at TG. I performed capacity monitoring and planning and made several proposals resulting in major technology improvements. Yet, my main achievement during my 6 years at TG was helping LeRoy Troyer's team get the Ark Encounter project "off the ground". The Ark project involved many committed team members doing their part to meet customer deadlines for this most impressive project. My tasks, along with the general technology management, involved helping move the team from a 2D world to 3D modeling using Bentley Systems design tools. I installed and managed the software systems and helped CAD engineers successfully utilize the 3D CAD software. While the important systems administration and development activities were of course the necessary work of any Technology Director, the inspiration of such a "one of kind" project like the Ark Encounter has forever changed me. I'm proud to have always been a part of the team that brought the Noah's Ark life sized replica to "life".
