About Connie Young

I worked for 30 years with Humberside and later East Riding Council retiring in 2011. Since then I have returned to work on short-term contracts managing Care Management Teams with a range of staff including Social Workers and Care Co-ordinators. These teams are responsible for assessing individuals under the Care Act legislation, identifying how their needs can be met and reviewing the services.Skills includeIT skillsSome knowledge of legislation covering the provision of careSupervision and Management of StaffUnderstanding and analysis of data on activity.When not working I really enjoy travelling, mainly within the EU, France Germany and Italy being recent destinations.I enjoy walking ( on the flat) bird watching, and nature generallyI speak a bit of german, a few words of French and would like to be better at languages but think I have left it a bit late.I have British Sign Language at level 1.
