As a student at the University of Cincinnati, I currently am pursuing a degree in Fashion Design in DAAP (the school of Design, Art, Architecture, & Planning). I am well versed in pattern drafting, CAD, fashion illustrations, construction of a garment, trend research, and draping. Each semester I have the opportunity to either be learning in a classroom, or applying what I know and learning more in various internships. Everyday I learn more and challenge myself to try new things and connect with new people.

As a design intern I assisted the design team and cross functional partners in research,development, and production for both technical and fleece fabrications. I was able to work in the same department, on multiple brands.

In my time at Chico's FAS, I worked in the White House Black Market Brand with both Knits and Sweaters. I worked closely with Designers and the Product Development teams. I worked on various projects including trend research, Cad bodies, layout variations, and preparing for meetings.

Working in the men's cut & sew knits department, I helped designers to alter layouts, prepare for meetings, update line-sheets, attend fittings, and shop for inspiration. Time permitting, I also Worked closely with the Polo's, Active wear, and Sweaters departments.

I assisted the designers with mock-ups, meeting preparation, fittings, line-sheet updates and trend research. This being my first internship, It really opened my eyes to fashion industry and the day to day workload i could expect as a designer.
