During my time at QuantuMDx group limited I worked within the engineering department to help build prototype parts, develop test rigs and ensure smooth project progress by taking ownership of the engineering consumables orders. I worked with members of the team across mechanical, electronics and software, reporting directly to the Engineering Team Lead. While there I used SolidWorks daily, designing parts, producing engineering drawings and working within the SolidWorks PDM quality system. I had my competency formally assessed in using workshop tools including CNC machine, 3D printer, laser cutter, band saw and various hand tools and was deemed suitable for unsupervised use of the equipment. I was given general guidance into the importance of various work projects but I was trusted to use my initiative in prioritizing my daily workload throughout my time there. Depending on the specific project I had to liaison with many different departments including chemistry, biology, testing and physics.
