Ran the warehouse using WMS (warehouse management system) software, controlling incoming shipments, i.e. production supplies, pallets, glass, and outgoing shipments, i.e. beer. Managed large groups of employees, approximately 30 individuals, including mechanics, electricians, forklift operators, and security guards. Addressed the operators in a team meeting every day, pre-shift, on key process indicators (KPIs), safety, and daily goals. Addressed management on performance about twice a week, post-shift. I implemented new process improvements into operation by making approved edits to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and departmental process maps. Often, through very quick decision-making and critical thinking, I directed technical staff on priority shutdown and maintenance to optimize production and minimize downtime. Oversaw and coordinated with QA on blocking procedures of non-conforming product. Administered discipline according to company policy and recognized successes when earned.

Oversaw production on all four bottle-producing lines (about 4800 12-oz bottles/minute) in a 24/7, 365 manufacturing facility. Managed all employees in the production area: eight operators per bottle line and 10 technical staff, along with new hire shadows and trainees. Implemented process improvement tools and procedures such as new autonomous operations and 5S initiatives to drive production efficiency. Mentored and trained managerial new hires, fostering an inclusive work environment with an emphasis on a safety-first mentality. Increased major KPIs within the organization like line efficiency by reducing equipment downtime (increased reliability) and safety (fewer "recordable" injuries) by strongly enforcing and exemplifying proper use of PPE.

Research on the drag coefficients of accelerating particles. The end goal was the ability to model and simulate non-spherical particle interactions to improve computational fluid dynamic simulations. I used logical reasoning to develop hypotheses and the means to test them from existing literature. Innovated experimental conditions for data retrieval and modeling particle characterization and motion. I applied both graphical and computational software, along with numerical methods to analyze the data. I also learned the proper use of valuable experimental equipment and lab standards. I collaborated with peers and international colleagues from Israel, strengthening teamwork abilities and other soft skills.

Self-owned LLC in the music and staged performance industry that had procured contracts from UF along with other local and national businesses and performers. This position allowed me to grow professionally in my own way, rewarding me with the ability to strengthen weaker skills like documenting fiscal responsibilities and client relations, while solidifying existing skills like project planning and on-the-spot decision-making. Both organization and time management were crucial to delivering results to the client's exact need as well as the high standards I continue to hold myself to. I was often independently consulted on performance logistics, where I used software such as Jands Vista to engineer optimal lighting, speaker, and subwoofer placement. NSF funded research on sustainable biofuel production from cereal crops in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. This position reinforced strong laboratory procedures and scientific professionalism. I gained insight into project initiatives/new areas to push the research and developed the capacity to apply conclusions made through extensive literature review. Gained experience with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), elemental analysis, chemical extraction, and calorimetry, as well as wet chemistry and analytical chemistry methods and procedures. This role earned me authorship on a published article in a peer-reviewed journal. I organized and presented results to primary investigator and other researchers in public speaking forums such as the Kansas State University's hosted "Dialogue on Sustainable Energy". Awarded a certification in graduate professionalism and asked to present results for various professional organizations such as AIChE symposiums.

A rapidly growing interior design and architecture firm and woodshop, facilitating projects and designs that are implemented all over the country. I learned extensively how to manage a group of individuals in order to produce a highly precise and accurate product. There was always a looming deadline, seemingly too near, that we always met via decisiveness, effectiveness, and dedication. Orchestrated, supervised, and maintained shop procedures, project builds, installations, and demolition of current achetectural builds. Polished process oversight and organization skills. Magnum X was an amazing place to work where I learned a large variety of hard and soft skills from very talented designers, architects, and woodworkers.

As a seasonal hire, I helped with the Christmas time shipping rush. Under a constant, strict time crunch, I was a package sorter as well as having three full-size UPS delivery trucks to load with packages from the conveyor belt. I stood at the beginning of the conveyor belt and was in charge of separating the packages to one side of the belt or the other so the subsequent handlers could have easy access to the packages intended for their trucks.

A co-op funded project that allowed me to employ and study the process for the alteration of spent cooking oil to produce a workable biodiesel for use in modern diesel engines. We were able to produce this fuel at a rate of 50 gallons per hour, usually during a 10-12 hour cycle. We procured the oil from local restaurants and held in a 600 gallon heated recirculation tank. I would treat the oil with potassium hydroxide and methanol. Implemented stoichiometry and bench-top analysis to develop a consistently refined product. Developed safe chemical handling skills and studied process specific unit operations. Regularly collected samples and tested for quality control. Procured starting materials including used oil, methanol, and potassium hydroxide.
