I have been driven from day one, and it is that inner fire to improve every single day that has propelled me on and off the ice. Now in my 6th season in the National Hockey League I am a defenseman currently playing for the New Jersey Devils. Throughout my career, I have focused on finding every edge to compete at my highest levels to provide the greatest contribution I can to my team. From my diet and training regimen, to meditation and self-reflection, I take a holistic approach to my optimize my performance on ice and in life. It is this curiosity about continuous growth that also fuels my passions off the ice. I started the Connor Carrick Podcast in 2020 to not only speak with some of the world’s highest performing people to dive into their best practices and daily processes, but to also empower others to better themselves and find inspiration to realize their own goals. To help others consciously create their own improved habit base is a dream of mine, as I have been a witness to the power of doing so in my own life. I want to feed my fire within daily, while helping others do the same. When I am not thinking about how to grow the world, or learning about myself, I am usually brewing excellent coffee and taking my sweet time to drink it too. Ultimately, I try to enjoy the process in everything I do. Finally, I am a mental health advocate who actively works to erase the stigma associated with it. By talking openly about my own well-being journey and inviting others to come along, I hope to encourage everyone to play offense in their own lives.
