As a Team Leader in my High Schools DECA club, each year my team and I created a business plan that we took to compete in state competition against other high school students, and in our final year we preformed so well that we were invited to and attended national DECA competition in Orlando, FL. As a team leader, it was my job to help plan our research so that come competition time, our team is well informed on the topic. I also had to help manage conflict upon team members in moments where it would arise. Lastly, I had to organize the information we gathered through our research into a well prepared and thorough presentation and 15+ page paper.

I was a defensive back on my high school football team for all 4 years I spent in high school. Through this experience I developed a strong work ethic. I also learned how to work with a diverse group of people to lead to team achievement. In my later years on the team, I also began use my experience to help mentor younger athletes on the team to help guide them through their time playing football.
