Maintained and added features to an existing Web Application designed specifically for Logistics and Transport Companies. Involved in implementing rapidly changing production requirements on a day to day basis. Implemented multiple Windows Services to automate various server tasks such as data importing, report creation, data exporting etc. Identified SQL-Injection security issues with site and implemented fixes. Identified areas for code reuse and implemented User Controls to increase code reusability. Implemented AJAX solutions to increase page response times. Improved SQL queries to increase page response times. Implemented real-time web chat solution to enable users to communicate using system. Implemented multiple web services to facilitate communication between multiple instances of system and third party system integration. Implemented cloud based page to interface with barcode scanning hardware.

Redesigned existing E-commerce platform. Designed new database schema for more adaptability, flexibility and integrity. Restructured and ported all existing database data to new database schema. Created new DotNetNuke modules to take advantage of new database schema, implementing a Micro-ORM based data access layer. Incorporated localization so platform could sell to both Irish and British markets, with individual products, prices and categories for each. Added Facebook and Google Authentication. Modified DotNetNuke registration system to allow for Facebook and Google association with existing accounts. Designed complicated User Access controls, whereby some products could be accessed for free in exchange for more user information.
