As a Software Engineering Intern at Rapid7, developing, testing, and maintaining both the front-end and back-end aspects of a web-based application were carried out. Primary responsibilities carried out include:• Working closely with team members and managers to develop and release new features to existing Rapid7 products.• Writing efficient, professional code in languages such as Kotlin and TypeScript, using software such as Maven, Docker, Cypress, and Postman.• Implementing new unit tests and debugging both existing and newly developed code to ensure high quality code is provided.• Reviewing and providing feedback for code written by team members.• Using SQL client software such as DBeaver to write/optimize queries for multiple database regions.
