During my time working in the hospitality industry I have gained a number of skills that I believe are essential to coping with everyday events that occur. Firstly, my communication skills have greatly improved. I am able to adapt and communicate effectively with suppliers, team members, management and customers. I am confident in selling the product and making suggestions based on preference for individuals; I enjoy getting to know customers, making their experience more personable and enjoyable and ensuring I build relationships with returning customers. I can work successfully both on my own and within a team to achieve the goal in hand and the best for the business. In particular, my management role has led me to improve my problem solving skills when faced with unexpected experiences. I have learned to delegate, to ensure I have a balanced workload, but also use the strengths of my team to ensure that we can work to the best of our abilities. Furthermore I am open to feedback from my team members to help develop their skills and help meet their needs.I am a hardworking individual who has a willingness to learn and adapt my skills to a new environment. I enjoy a busy workplace that brings new challenges and builds on my strengths.
