About Conor Hurley
MSc Physiotherapy - Edinburgh Napier UniversityCurrently studying for my MSc, hoping to pursue a career in sports physiotherapy. I have gained a particular interest in lower limb injuries and their rehabilitation through prescription exercise. Through my undergraduate degree and my MSc I have gained significant experience across a wide variety of work environments, from Liverpool FC Women, to private practice with SPEAR in Aberdeen, giving me exposure to a wide range of conditions, and importantly the opportunity to learn from some of the field's leading practitioners is musculoskeletal rehabilitation.I am passionate about staying on top of the most recent research to maintain best practice for all patients no matter what the setting. My undergraduate dissertation was investigating the attitudes of Gaelic games players to seeking mental health support, and is available to view in my profile below.Over the final year or so of my time in Edinburgh, I hope to further my experience in different work settings, and to pick up as much as possible from both the academic staff, and also the clinical educators on my placements. I hope to finish the course in a good position to begin my career as a physio, with a sound knowledge base to build from, knowing that every day in the working world will bring more learning with it.
