Secondment Procurement and Contracts Lead – Spark CJV (Spark – North East Link – D&C) – Primary Package Currently seconded to engage with Spark CJV as the Procurement and Contracts Lead for the Plant and Tunnelling section of the works. The North East Link is the largest road project in Victoria’s history. It will complete the missing link between Melbourne’s orbital freeway between an upgraded Eastern Freeway and the M80 Ring Road. The North East Link consists of the following packages North, Central, South, East, and West Packages. Spark CJV has been awarded the North East Link Central Package or Primary Package. Spark CJV is delivering the design and construction of 6.5km of twin three-lane tunnels, split interchanges at Lower Plenty Road, Manningham Road, upgrade of existing interchanges at Bulleen road and Thompsons Road, a project-wide integrated managed motorway solution.

Secondment Procurement and Contracts Lead – VicConnect Alliance (VCA) – Gippsland Line Upgrade (GLU)VCA was engaged to design and construct the upgrades to the Gippsland railway line, primarily between Pakenham and Traralgon, as part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Rail Revival Project. The Gippsland Line Upgrade (GLU) will deliver more frequent and reliable train services to the growing communities of Gippsland. Lead procurement and contract management of major works packages ($531m) on GLU as part of the Victorian Regional Rail Revival program. This included;• Detailed budget analysis and allocation, scope of works definition, risk allocation, contract terms and programme negotiations, detailed tender evaluations, tender departure negotiations, and awarding of major works packages. • Assisted with the re-drafting of the VCA subcontracts suite, incorporating the head contract terms and conditions, rights and obligations, and setting up contract management procedures of the project.• Claims preparation and post contract commercial management of all contractual entitlement matters upon GLU. • Managed the monthly subcontractor payment claim cycle. Reviewing and evaluation submissions before issuing for approval (scope of works analysis, reviewing and accessing variations, and delay claims entitlements).

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure Projects Design - Warrnambool Line UpgradeThe Warrnambool Line Upgrade Project forms part of the Regional Rail Revival to allow trains to run between Melbourne and Warrnambool at a greater frequency. The project includes signal upgrades between Waurn Ponds and Warrnambool, upgrades to 12 level crossings, station upgrades at Waurn Ponds, and construction of a crossing loop at Boorcan. My role was to provide commercial support reporting directly to the Regional Commercial Manager overseeing and managing the design budget for the project.

Senior Contracts Consultant – Systech International – Claims and dispute preparation.Claims preparation and commercial management of all contractual entitlement matters upon Kennedy Energy Park (QLD), a $65m wind, solar and energy storage facility in Northern Queensland.The client’s scope involved the design and installation of 12 Wind Turbine Generators inclusive of all necessary electrical modelling. My project brief included the submission and preparation of a logical and accurate extension of time claim incorporating all delay events encountered from the date of delay to the completion on behalf of the Client itself.

Countryside Properties - Clay Farm Residential Development - Cambridge, United Kingdom – Development value $42,000,000 (est) Commercial lead reporting directly to the project Commercial Director overseeing a £42m (251 Units) residential development in Cambridge, United Kingdom. The project involved the construction of a mixed-use community comprising 251 homes on 2.57ha of land. Parcel 8A included the construction of 130 units, and 8B included 121 units. It also included the construction of 929m2 of retail space, parking, and related facilities.• My main role and responsibilities included all aspects of commercial management (but not limited to);• Monthly financial reporting.• Preparation and issuing of accurate and timely project cost reports.• Day-to-day post-contract management responsibilities include the management of site costs.• Procurement and management of all subcontract packages ranging from £80,000 to £2,500,000.• Preparation of accurate and timely upstream valuations.

Contracts Quantity Surveyor - Al Naboodah Group – Claims and Dispute preparation The day-to-day role involved reporting to the Director of Contracts on major claims and disputes within the Business across Building, Civil, and MEP sectors. My main function was to provide expertise and analyse at a senior level when assessing potential grounds for a claim and to report these findings accordingly.My core objective was to establish the cause and effect, and present this in a clear and concise manner, in order to establish that both project time and cost have been impacted thus elevating the potential risk of additional costs being incurred. During this time, I was responsible for overseeing disruption and acceleration claims in both the UAE and Qatar.

This flagship development was a major part of Dubai’s 2020 EXPO Vision.

Quantity Surveyor - Tidal Thames Quality Improvements Beckton STW Extensions - Contract Value £185,000,00 - Client - Thames WaterI was seconded to Thames Water on the £185 million upgrade to the Beckton sewage treatment works as part of their AMP5 Tidal Thames quality improvements works. Beckton is the largest of the three main sewage treatment works serving London. It treats wastewater from a population of 3.5 million, over a catchment of 300sq.km. in North and East London. The scope of work for Beckton was to extend the treatment capacity of the existing sewage treatment works. My main roles and responsibilities were to provide commercial support services reporting to the project commercial manager.

Quantity Surveyor - Southfleet Risingmain - Contract Value £1,500,000 - Client - Thames WaterThis project required the construction of 875m of water ring main in the Greenhithe area of Kent. • 255m of 500mm DI main constructed in open cut along an access road into a disused quarry.• 620m of 630 PE pipe by directional drilling mainly in chalk with a maximum depth of 31m. Quantity Surveyor - Beckton to Woodford Pipeline - Project Value £32,000,000 - Client - Thames WaterThe Beckton to Woodford project required the construction of a pressure pipeline to transfer potable water from the WTP (desalination plant) to Woodford Forest Reservoir for distribution. The scope of works included a 13.6km pipeline of 1200mm diameter epoxy lined steel pipe, constructed in two Phases. 10.3km of open-cut mainly and 2.10km in 7 no. pipejacked crossings beneath major roads, Network Rail, and London Underground assets. The 7 crossings utilised a 1500mm ID. earth pressure balance tunnel boring machine. The diameter of the pipeline was reduced to 1000mm at these locations. The open-cut construction was a mix of open-cut trenches and trenchless work and at one point a pipe-bridge.
