About Conor Meehan
I have a passion for software development and working with great teams of people. I have experience building and leading remote/distributed teams, as well as in person teams in Dublin, Budapest and most recently Porto. I have experience in many areas of software development, from games development, modernising legacy desktop applications, to working on both front and back-end systems. I have a great deal of experience writing code to complex specifications as well as advising companywide on architectural decisions. I have led and worked on many cross-functional efforts as well as dealing directly with customers to find out how we can best solve their problems.I love to write clean, readable and well tested code. There are two guidelines that really resonate with me:• Code is read much more than it is written and so it should be written with this in mind.• The Boy Scout Rule - Always leave the campground cleaner than when you found it.Building on these basic principles my teams have been able to tame millions of lines of legacy code, while emphasising testability and predictable delivery. This helps to ensure that both our customers and our colleagues are happy, and that our projects will continue to live on long into the future.
