Promoting UCD through open days, tours, and blog posts.

Designing the beginner course starting in September every year. I am in charge of coordinating each lesson and timetabling all of the coaches I work with. I also work closely with the captain of the club in ensuring that everything runs smoothly throughout the year.

I undertook a 7 month internship in the Internet of Things and Wearables group in Intel Ireland. I worked closely with pre-silicon validation teams, specifically emulation.

Optimisation of pre-distortion algorithms for use with power amplifiers. Responsibilities in the role include using Matlab and VHDL for implementation of the algorithms on FPGA boards.The main project centers around designing a module to carry out an NMSE(Normalised Mean Square Error) operation in testing how well the DPD(Digital Pre-Distortion) performs.The NMSE module is to be implemented within an SPSA(Simultaneous Perturbation Stochastic Approximation) system which performs the DPD operation.

I provide a grinds service for Junior and Leaving Certificate subjects. I have taught Mathematics(JC H), Irish(LC H) and Chemistry(LC H) to date. I am also capable of providing grinds in Applied Mathematics, Physics and Science.

In charge of the Science, Health and Technology section of the University Observer for an academic year. The University Observer is a student newspaper in UCD and was released every 3 weeks while I was with the paper. I was in charge of choosing the articles for the section, meeting with contributors to distribute articles, and editing all pieces for the section to ensure they conformed to the section and paper's style guide. I also distributed pieces for the website, http://www.universityobserver.ie, and gained valuable experience in WordPress.

I was in charge of keeping accurate accounts for the UCD Archery Club and overseeing how the club spent its money. I worked closely with the rest of the committee and other club members to achieve this and I introduced a new fuel payment system for when the club drove to competitions.

Designed software using LabView for use in a UV scanning system with applications in keratoconus research and treatment.

Working on the till, dealing with customer queries, fetching booklists, depositing money, shelving and organising books.
