Fire And Life Safety Compliance Manager
Current• Maintains documentation for all authorities having jurisdiction and certifications in accordance with the Rules of the City of New York and is facility point contact for all FDNY inquiries.• Assists in the interpretation of codes, regulations, and City/State fire and safety policies and help ensure their implementation.• Checks, inspects, and monitors work in progress for conformance to MSKCC standards and external regulatory standards.• Inspects and documents environment of care elements of performance and areas related to fire protection, fire alarm system and all other fire and or life safety systems; including but not limited to rated doors, exit signage and egress path conformance.• Maintains documentation for presentation to all authorities having jurisdiction; including but not limited to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Buildings (DOB), Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), Joint Commission (JCAHO), New York City Fire Department (FDNY,) etc.• Coordinates repairs, replacements, maintenance, operations and installations of all parts of fire safety system.
