I am currently pursuing a part-time PhD in the Application of Acoustic Metamaterials and Energy Harvesting at the School of Computer Engineering and Built Environment (SCEBE), Edinburgh Napier University. This five-year project aims to develop innovative approaches to enhancing sound insulation between spaces while promoting climate-friendly methods of recycling waste energy.In addition to my research, I am a full time Acoustic Consultant within the Robin Mackenzie Partnership, where I work on multidisciplinary projects involving noise and vibration.My professional experience spans architectural acoustics at both design and testing stages, occupational health monitoring (including noise at work and hand/arm vibration assessments), and environmental, industrial, and construction noise assessment.With extensive site experience, I am always eager to learn and grow further, I regularly partake in CPD events and conferences to ensure my knowledge is at the forefront of industry.Committed to technical excellence and dedication to client satisfaction through innovation design solutions, I present with a professional and friendly attitude and am always keen to assist on noise an vibration projects.I am a full member of the Institute of Physics (MInstP) and the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA). I hold the MCPS Quarry Passport and am a Professionally Qualified CSCS cardholder. I am additionally fully accredited by the ANC for Sound Insulation Testing and have previously worked as a UKAS and IOA accredited Tester.
