I was in the United States Air Force for 15 years. I moved about every 2 years and held many different positions, I also deployed to Afghanistan twice. Here is the progression. 1. RF Transmissions Technician, working on Air to Ground Radios, 2. Quality Assurance, maintaining Air Force, DoD, and OSHA standard for equipment and personnel of a 300+ member squadron, 3. Personal Wireless Communications Manager, managed 4 hand held radio accounts, equipment maintenance, and cell phone accounts, 4. Global Support Squadron RF Transmissions Journeyman, deployed, setup and maintained mobile communications packages for humanitarian relief missions. 5. COMSEC NCOIC, managed 4 personnel /maintained secure communications cryptographic accounts and materials. 6. Mobile Satellite Communications Craftsman, deployed, setup and maintained small foot print communications reach back capabilities in austere locations. 7. RF Transmission System Manager for Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst, managed 8 personnel, maintained over 50 handheld radio accounts containing over 5K assets, managed $5M motorola support contract, maintained Giant Voice Mass notification system covering 42K acres and the backup Base Alert and Readiness System. I also trained 300+ personnel on 4 types of vehicles, 9 communication suites, and Nuclear/Biological decontamination.
