Patient Focused Medicines Development (PFMD) aims to transform the way in which we understand, engage, and partner with patients globally in the design and development of research and medicines by focusing on unmet patient needs. We are bringing together and synergizing disparate but complementary efforts that integrate the voice of the PATIENT across the lifecycle of medicine. PFMD was established in October 2015 as an open, independent global coalition of health stakeholders.This Plain Language Summary guidance was co-developed with a large community of stakeholders (more than 43 individuals from 28 organisations), representing patient organizations, pharmaceutical industry, publishers, editors, and medical service providers.

I managed a portfolio of biomedical journals and was responsible for their content, development, and strategy.Journals managed: - Regenerative Medicine - Future Cardiology- Future Neurology- Future Virology- Pharmaceutical BioprocessingI was also the digital Editor for regenerative medicine of the community network website RegMedNet. I wrote content for the website weekly, interviewed key opinion leaders and hosted expert panels as well as webinars. I built many relationships with key contacts in the field, which lead to a number of projects including the spotlight on KCL’s Centre for Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine, the biggest collaborative project carried-out by FSG at the time.
