To repair these gaps, I implemented development plans covering social and emotional needs of students, community partnerships, and cultural awareness and proficiency to promote student success. Through training for facility and staff members I guided and led standardized testing procedures including the Prairie State Achievement Test and ACT. I facilitated accommodations testing by developing room schedules, arranging the rooms, and preparing necessary supplies. I also assisted the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) by processing the standardized testing information. While working as a Curriculum Coordinator and Instructional Coach, I created a positive environment for faculty and students to support learning opportunities. To accomplish organizational goals, I managed staff recruitment and on boarding, transitioning more than sixteen teachers, paraprofessionals, advisors, and counselors onto the staff. I worked to identify key areas of improvement and developmental opportunities for assigned teachers, then developed Individual Learning Plans to ensure alternative methods to help track improvements in their students’ achievements. To accomplish my tasks, I conducted observations and held one-on-one performance meetings for all faculty aiming to improve student achievement and align the curriculum with Common Core State Standards. This helped successfully turn around 100% of student grades that had been at risk of failing through meetings with Special Education and General Education teachers planning remediation for their students.
