My primary business focus is as an independent non executive director in the funds industry.I currently act a director ( a number of which I chair ) for a range of investment funds domiciled in Ireland.These include retail and institutional funds investing across the full spectrum of asset classes.I have been a full time non executive director since leaving the Ulster Bank Group in 2010. I am a veteran of over 30 years of the investment industry. I have held senior management positions in asset management, business development, fund administration , custody , fund distribution and wealth management. Over the course of my career in Ulster Bank ( a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal bank of Scotland ) I played a key role in the company's development as a major participant in the asset management , fund administration and wealth management businesses. I have extensive knowledge of all components of the regulated funds industry both as a director and as an executive.The Investment Management industry is currently facing many challenges. My aim as a non executive director is twofold: to ensure best practice is adopted and to bring a truly independent perspective to the companies I work with.
