I am the Director of Real Estate for Retail Strategies. With a deep passion for empowering community leaders, I specialize in teaching them how to effectively communicate with retailers, brokers, and developers through our Retail Academy program.Throughout my time with Retail Strategies, I've been instrumental in driving retail recruitment efforts, focusing on bringing new and exciting retail and restaurant brands to partner communities across the United States. Additionally, I've served as the Director of Real Estate for Downtown Strategies, where I conducted strategic visioning workshops nationwide to aid cities in downtown revitalization efforts.My professional journey also includes valuable experience in property management with Retail Specialists in Birmingham, Alabama, and at Vornado/Charles E. Smith Realty Trust in the Washington, D.C. area. I've also had the privilege of serving as an aide to United States Representative Spencer Bachus in his legislative office on Capitol Hill.As a representative of Retail Strategies, I've been invited to speak at various prestigious conferences, on panels, and webinars, including ICSC Vegas, the Southern Economic Development Council, and numerous state Municipal Leagues, Economic Development Councils, and Tourism Agencies, amongst others.I am an alum of Auburn University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in history. Currently, I serve on the board of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Alabama Chapter, furthering my commitment to fostering sustainable urban development practices.I am driven by a desire to create vibrant communities and foster economic growth through strategic real estate initiatives.
