Contributed to a Master Data Management project for a large computer manufacturing company by creating dynamic visualizations in Excel to track the usage over time of reporting data layers within the data lake being built for the client. Additionally, I used PowerBI to identify discrepancies between the old and new data lakes and present them to project management to inform decision-making around data hygiene processes.

Interned throughout the duration of the Spring 2021 semester in the Rice Athletic Department's Office of Compliance. In this role I researched the NCAA Division I bylaws and regulations to answer questions around what activities would be considered impermissible by the NCAA. Additionally, I created educational pamphlets and brochures for student-athletes and boosters giving rules clarification around key regulatory areas.

Worked as a legal intern aiding the firm's immigration cases with a focus on asylum. Conducted in depth legal research for Guatemalan immigrants seeking asylum in the U.S. with an emphasis on recent rulings within the 9th Circuit and compiled briefs on my findings. Analyzed the facts of clients' cases to make recommendations to Ms. Kaufman on the best path to win asylum. Used my fluency in Spanish to serve as a legal translator of key client documents including birth certificates, marriage licenses, and affidavits.

Oakland, Ca

Worked for the City of Oakland to review and go through the approval process for the Oakland Athletics' planned new baseball stadium at Howard Terminal. Attended internal City staff meetings as well as meetings with the Athletics and community representatives and reported back to supervisors. Participated in negotiations between the Athletics and the City around a Developmental Agreement and Community Benefits Agreement. Executed case study on past Developmental Agreements and Community Benefit Agreements used in prior sports stadiums and compiled a report on both of these topics to help shape the City of Oakland's position in the aforementioned negotiations.

Kentfield, California

Tutored middle school and high school students in all subjects with a special focus on math and Spanish. Worked with students in one-on-one settings as well as in groups of 4-6 and in both scenarios was responsible for keeping students focussed and on task. After each tutoring session I met with the parents of each student and gave them a summary of the session, what was learned, and areas that still have room for growth. On average each student increased their test scores by one letter grade after starting tutoring.
