I am a seasoned professional actively seeking consulting roles in AI-powered data analytics and machine learning. My journey began with notable success in the startup world, where I served as the Director of Revenue Operations. This experience was followed by the pursuit of an MBA and an engineering degree with a dual concentration in Finance and Data Analytics/ML, reflecting my commitment to bridging business acumen with technical expertise.After completing my MBA, I spent a year and a half working at a private equity firm. While this role honed my analytical skills and financial insights, my true passion has always been machine learning and deep learning. This passion is something I can no longer ignore, and I am steadfast in my determination to enter this field, regardless of the obstacles I may face.To prepare for this transition, I have earned approximately five professional certificates in the "Data Professional" sector and completed numerous specializations. Many of the relevant courses I pursued, particularly those offered by IBM and Google, are designed to take close to nine months, requiring a commitment of 10-20 hours per week. Though the time investment was significant, it was well worth it. Through these courses, I was able to fill in and clarify gaps in my knowledge via hands-on labs and rigorous exams required to earn each certification. In retrospect, had I attempted to jump directly into a data science role immediately after my studies at Tulane, I would have found myself overwhelmed.Currently, I am starting an 18-month AI Career Certificate program through Columbia University as part of the October cohort. During this period, I am also pursuing opportunities in research, academia, and particularly consulting and freelance work for project management teams. This program, designed for professionals like myself, allows me to continue honing my skills while exploring various opportunities.These days, in my 30s (which I suppose makes me old and boring), my favorite hobby is, quite literally, learning. The universe and the way we move through time are beautiful, and they owe us no explanation—we are the ones who need to have the ambition to try and unravel the mysteries for ourselves.My self-taught enthusiasm for ML and DL fuels my eagerness to bridge the divide between companies' AI ambitions and practical application. I am committed to leveraging my skills and experiences to help organizations realize their AI-driven goals effectively.
