In this role I focus on all things sustainability in municipal operations and County-wide. This includes municipal and community building decarbonization, fleet electrification, climate justice, and stakeholder engagement.

San Francisco Bay Area

Worked closely with Head of Sustainability, Partnerships & Social Impact to establish Sonder's Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability function. In this position, I focused on built environment efficiencies and renewable energy sourcing, as well as a diverse range of topics including ESG strategy, ESG reporting frameworks, decarbonization roadmap, DEI, local business support, volunteerism and public-private-partnerships.Responsibilities:- Analyze energy consumption and expenditure for global hospitality company using data management skills- Manage and interpret data in accessible and clear format for distribution to city teams and senior leadership- Research energy efficiency rebates and programs in city markets and supervise efforts for implementation - Build a pathway for the brand to adopt renewable energy, carbon neutrality and building decarbonization targets- Work across the company to complete sustainability related RFPs and develop strategies for better performance- Provide research assistance on broad scope of subjects including, DEI benchmarking, codes of conduct, ESG reporting, SASB alignment, and more.

In this role, I was responsible for setting the Institute’s sustainability goals and developing sustainability programming to achieve them. This includes setting a goal to match Middlebury College’s Energy 2028 policy, restructuring the council for increased efficacy and transparency, and developing the Sustainability Impact Lab to accomplish sustainability goals and create practical opportunities for graduates to apply their skills. Responsibilities:- Restructured council for increased effectiveness, transparency, and scope of sustainability programming- Engage with DEI initiatives as part of social sustainability - Develop the Sustainability Impact Lab (SIL) providing a platform for Institute-wide engagement and collaboration - Campaigned to decarbonize a new residential hall, resulting in a major investment in a solar PV system - Developed proposal for full electrification of new dormitory, cutting expected implementation cost by 92%- Published first biannual Institute Climate Action Plan- Audited annual Institute GHG emissions- Conceptualized and managed SIL projects, interviewed and hired fellows, and conducted monthly Council meetings

- Host weekly conversation sessions for three classes of 40 students total remotely from France - Managed time effectively over multiple time zones while maintaining excellent communication with professors and students- Independently correct assignments, provide feedback to students, and update professor

- Facilitated Desmond Tutu Fellows project advancement, advertising, grant fulfillment, and community engagement - Coached at risk youth in the Center’s Youth Fellows Program in research and public speaking to support social justice and reconciliation initiatives - Organized events in multiple venues with audience sizes from 20-1,500 people, including the Conversation with Khizr Khan, which required additional security and coordination challenges- Created content management for print and web media
