Working as a joint fellow with Refugee Protection/Advocacy and Refugee Representation. With Refugee Protection, my role is to analyze laws, litigation, policies, and practices of the U.S. and other governments as well as inter-governmental organizations affecting human rights, and draft specific and practical recommendations to improve the promotion and protection of rights. With Refugee Representation, my role is to support strategic representation of select clients affected by administration anti-asylum policies, including conducting legal screenings and intake interviews with asylum seekers.

Worked collaboratively with one other law student and two undergraduate students to independently write asylum briefs for undocumented minors.

Co-authored a chapter on treaties as a source of peremptory norms of general international law in ILC member Dire Tladi's upcoming book on "jus cogens". Additionally edited other chapters belonging to that book. Conducted research and drafted analysis on various international topics, such as International Financial Institutions and global poverty.

Manned walk-in advice office, which assisted refugees and asylum seekers with access to basic right and overcoming barriers related to the asylum and immigration system. Conducted remote and in person legal research in preparation for litigation surrounding newly amended refugee laws in South Africa.

Conducted independent research related to customary international law and US involvement in Syria.

Conducted legal research related to beneficial solutions for urban poor land tenure situations and free speech issues. Drafted and edited a grant proposal for funding from the EU for a land reform project.

Conducted interviews for disability claims, drafted letters and memos in aid of disability claims, landlord/tenant disputes, and custody disputes aimed at ending and preventing homelessness.
