• Oversee 46 prisons Health Education Program in Haiti for Health through Walls and United Nation AIDS (UNAIDS)• Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.• Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.• Review and evaluate training and apprenticeship programs for compliance with government standards.• Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with offenders.• Coordinate established courses with technical and professional courses provided by Florida Department of Health/D.A.N.G.E.R Program and designate training procedures.• Prepare training budget for department or organization.• Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.• Develop testing and evaluation procedures.

South Bay Correctional

• Oversee the Substance Abuse Prevention Program for Therapeutic Community (TC).• Develops, organizes and conducts programs to provide treatment for conditions and problems relating to drug and alcohol abuse.• Conducts individualized substance abuse counseling sessions, implement evidence based program through daily application of cognitive behavior therapy and updates and maintains timely and through daily updates.• Counsels inmates, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming substance dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. • Work closely with the Mental Health Department –refers to an inpatient Mental Health unit that provides intermediate level care for inmates transitioning from a more intensive level of inpatient care back to an outpatient setting.

Belle Glade

• Providing assistance to minority community-based organizations (CBOs), local AIDS service organizations (ASOs) and faith based organizations. • Working with local Community Planning Partnerships (CPPs), the Florida Comprehensive Planning Network (FCPN) and the local CARE Council/Consortium.• Management of technical assistance and consultation regarding community planning, prevention, patient care and support services, specifically as it relates to minority needs and activities. • Launch and implement the CDC's (Centers for Disease Control) Advancing HIV Prevention (AHP) strategies for a changing epidemic.• Serves as a technical assistant to other CHD divisions and to quality teams that are working with health education and training issues.
