The Community Development team seeks to identify best practices, build partnerships, and provide training and technical assistance to bankers and community development practitioners. My primary tasks as an intern included: • Updated and expanded a small business dashboard that compiled data from 40 different public and private sources, covering small business issues around the lending environment, employment, access to credit and entrepreneurship.• Conducted research on the alternative lending industry by identifying over 100 companies and profiling 44 different companies including their products and terms, loan volume and growth, investors and regulations.• Helped prepare economic and community development publications for internal and external use, including writing an article for the website.• Collaborated on various website projects including writing content for an index page and identifying potential issues for users of the external website.•Assisted with outreach events through editing publications, social media coverage, and on-site assistance including events like the biannual Policy Summit.
