As an NDT Technician at the United States Marine Corps, I perform non-destructive testing on aircraft components and support equipment, using four methods: ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant, and eddy current. I am a certified Non-Destructive Inspection Technician, and I follow the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2D CH-1 standards for the Marine Corps.I have over a year of experience in this role, and I have worked on various aircraft and aircraft components, such as H1's, V22's, CH-53E's, and the Underwater Egress Trainer on Okinawa Japan. I also supported the Fleet Readiness Center WestPac team in performing ultrasonic testing on the full composite repair on the V22 vertical stabilizer. Additionally, I am a Collateral Duty Inspector and I am familiar with the concept of Quality Assurance. I am also Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified, and I apply the principles of continuous improvement and waste reduction to my work. I have a high school diploma from Farwell High School, and I have also learned welding as a skill that complements my NDT duties. I am passionate about ensuring the safety and reliability of the aircraft and equipment that I test, and I am motivated by the challenge and responsibility of my role.
