Hello fellow professionals,I am a graduate student (Fall 2024) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte studying Public Administration concentrating on Nonprofit Organization Management. I have many years of experience in management and supervisory roles in various trades and businesses. Many are customer-centered including restaurant management, pool table installation/sales, and home/apartment remodeling. For the last 4 years, I have been in the nonprofit sector working at a residential therapeutic community. I am an early-entry graduate student who has excelled in my undergraduate which will conclude in December 2024. I will graduate with a 4.0 GPA, and as an early entry graduate student, I have begun graduate school alongside the completion of my undergraduate academic career. My skills and experiences have varied over the 4 years at my nonprofit organization and due to my position needing to implement SOP, communicate, emergency response, de-escalation, documentation, incoming visitors, client tracking, and oversee "any" necessary tasks during limited staffing hours (1 staff member per approximately 130 residential clients), I have managed to develop multi-tasking skills with highly discretionary decision-making. I am studying and shifting towards nonprofit fundraising, grant reading and writing, capacity building, professional development, volunteer/community engagement, and management, donor tracking (cultivation/stewardship), marketing (brand development), sustainable development, budgeting, CRM, strategic planning and implementation, accreditation, policy development, I.T. (A.I.) integration and best practices are to name a few focus points. I hope to grow into these skills and roles which will benefit from these skills. I love teamwork and building a solid organizational culture that harnesses exploration, innovation, accountability, effectiveness, inclusion, and diversity and aims to make a real impact that produces real outcomes.
