About Corey David

Achieved a first class degree in Biomedical Sciences, gaining 3 years of experience in 3 different Histopathology Laboratories. During my time, I have been exposed to many niche Pathology specialties such as: Neuropathology, Ophthalmic, Musculoskeletal and Dental pathologies as well as the more common forms. from this, I have developed an in-depth knowledge of laboratory work flow, what processes make workflow efficient or not, whether that is in a small or large laboratory.I am currently working at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, where my responsibilities are split between Immunohistochemistry, Molecular Biology, Special Stains and Dissection. I am involved in the day to day running of the Histopathology department, including equipment management, IQCs, training and troubleshooting. The aspects I enjoy the most about my job are establishing rapport and building strong relationships with lab staff and service users, as well as problem solving. I have found that when professional relationships are prioritised, teamwork, problem solving and training become extremely rewarding experiences. In the future, I would like to pursue roles that require these skills in abundance, with a focus on delighting customers within the life science sector.
