Nalco Champion is an Oil & Gas Industry production chemical supplier with a strong sales foot print in North Eastern British Columbia. I worked in Fort St. John and primarily out of the chemical distribution yard. Most duties pertained to the timely & efficient shipping and receiving of specialized oil & gas production chemicals with strict adherence to all WHMIS and TDG protocols. It was my job in what was mostly a one person show to manage all incoming and outgoing product ranging from bulk to packaged product. The requirements of this position was to be a professional coach/bus driver for crews working at a nearby gas plant turnaround. This was a full time temporary position and was very enjoyable. Split shifts with morning and evening pickups and drop offs. Pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the coach, basic coach cleaning and fluid maintenance, and being on time fit and ready to drive.

Skyway Plaza is a multi unit strip mall that I and my wife were property managers of for 3 years. We were responsible for rent collection and deposits. We coordinated maintenance projects for the mall, worked in partnership with the owners to convey to the tenants a high standard of operation. There are many responsibilities in the role of property manager and it is a position of trust. Great experience.

While employed as a letter carrier with Canada Poste my primary duty was to complete the necessary tags to prepare the daily mail in order to get the mail to the right recipient as fast and accurately as possible. The work environment is fast paced and requires one to be a quick learner and a quick thinker when presented with any of the many daily obstacles common to hand delivery. Kudos to the letter carriers of Canada. You have my respect.

On boarded during the initial start up of the new plant. Duties included robotic paint booth operation & maintenance, forklift operation, skidsteer operation, train truck operation, material handling, records..and much more.

I was hired as part of a new 4th shift which was cancelled after 3 months. Layed off.

I was the program coordinator of this government funded program under the umbrella of Employment Connections. I provided 1-1 counselling, advocacy, role modeling....and a simple open ear at times for the clients I proudly served. This was an after school program for aboriginal and non aboriginal youth in the Fort St. John catchment area to attend. Attending youth could receive role modeling, peer mentoring, A&D Preventions activities and education, recreation, and a lot of laughs. My Thanks to all the fine folks there. I also had the honor of playing Santa on more than a few Friendship Center special occasions.
