Seasonal Music Festival Work. Provided high rigging lighting and electric systems installation for main stage and starlight stages for a popular alternative music festival. High Tension Fabric Art Installations, boom lift operations, high climbing, truss installations.

Provided technical direction, Artist Support, installations, and stage management for PICA’s Time Based Art Festival at the Hancock Building for the Time Based Art Festival with multiple daily shows, and a late night performance venue. Provided budget updates and tracking, identified and hired staff, designed and built stages, hung presentation screens, lights, screens, projection mounts, custom built a multi-directional projection booths for a 14 projector art installation, installed motion sensors and a/v components, coordinated with all staff, talent and handlers, met with Festival Art Directors, projected and adhered to budgets, provided department updates to Executive Director, documented payroll, and provided load-in and load-out logistics, and technical needs for multiple shows daily.

Collaboratively designed and implemented after school program focusing on Life Skills Acquisition and Transference, and tutoring in Math and Language Arts for 3rd – 5th grade students.

Provided overall logistics and support to the daily MFA residency operations for Interdisciplinary Arts Programs and Creative Writing including: classroom set-up, special event set-up and clean-up, assisting faculty, staff, and students, office organizational chores, transporting faculty and guests. Role required an ability to remain friendly and composed under sometimes stressful conditions.

Pope Marine Theatre Venue Manager 2008 and Rose Theatre Venue Manager during 2009. Recruited, scheduled, trained, and supervised festival volunteers. Provided venue set-up, sound system and screen installation. Lead projectionist at the Pope Marine Theatre venue. Worked directly with filmmakers, handlers, venue owners, executive director and curators, and managed festival participants. Provided venue leadership to collect tickets, seat filmmakers, patrons and guests, introduced films and panel discussions, and distributed and collected Film Ballots and Surveys. Introduced guest speakers and showcased films.

Provided overall technical logistics, stage management, and support to all Centrum programming, and any concurrentcontracted worked with Fort Worden State Park visitors, non-profit partners, and community partners. Managed multiple weekly shows in the Wheeler Theatre seating 275. Hired, trained, and supervised seasonal staff. Provided estimates and contract billings for technical planning and production work. For a grant, developed high school level curriculum to accompany “Estuary Live,” an Internet-based, interactive field trip of the nation’s estuaries. Topics covered in the curriculum included; estuaries as nurseries, the value and function of eelgrass beds, land use, the life history of Coho, and tideland restoration. Teachers use the curriculum before, during, and after the live broadcast to help students understand the functioning and importance of estuaries.

Organized and developed an 8-week long new staff training for AmeriCorps Members. Supervised two NYC staff members and a 10-person team of AmeriCorps staff. Provided team building and guided individual and group growth. Developed outdoor recreation curriculum in accordance with grant requirements. Developed RFP’s for contracted work. Maintained personnel files. Provided strategic thinking and planning to improve program and fill program participant slots. Provided press ready digital graphics for program publication and advertising. Facilitated weekly staff meetings.

Aligned the curriculum with Oregon State Educational Benchmarks for the 5th and 8th grade. Supervised a 10-person adult staff, 15 permanent alternative high school students, 10-15 weekly high school or college age volunteers, and classroom teachers and aides with 100-135 6th grade students per week for 8-10 weeks of residential outdoor education seasonally at various camp facilities. Assisted with staff hiring and training for four Outdoor School sites. Provided written and verbal evaluation for all the staff at my site. Developed seasonal and weekly volunteer orientations and trainings, and worked with staff to provided daily volunteer meetings. Developed program logistics, specifics, and routines for all on site operations. Developed a field study workbook for student use at all the Outdoor School sites. Developed a computerized curriculum resource archive to increase the effectiveness of training new staff on site and to be offered as resources for on the job instructional support. Engaged in public relations with all school administrators, teachers, visiting parents, AmeriCorps team leaders, prospective clients, prospective funding sources that come in contact with the program. Provided guidance, feedback, and training for camp managers, kitchen crews, and site crews. Planned with teachers to unify/clarify educational objectives, meet the learning styles of all youth.

Guided wilderness rafting, mountaineering, rock climbing, and backpacking

To meet specific federal grant requirements, I developed a 3-year integrated; summer instructional curriculum for at-risk young adults aged 15-21 focusing on natural resource careers and science education. Met with MTC Staff and Board of Directors for budget approval and curriculum design parameters adjustments. Directed residential programs Hired and trained all staff.
