As a Detector Process Engineer at ORTEC, I apply my MS in Physics and my research skills to design, test, and improve high-purity germanium detectors for nuclear spectroscopy applications. I have over two years of experience in this role, and I enjoy working with a team of engineers, scientists, and technicians to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. Before joining ORTEC, I was a Staff Technical Assistant at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where I supported various projects related to nuclear physics, radiation detection, and materials science. I also had the opportunity to intern at the same laboratory in 2015, where I gained valuable exposure to the field of applied physics. My education and experience have equipped me with the core competencies of problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and collaboration, and I am passionate about advancing the knowledge and innovation in the field of nuclear physics.
