Midland-Odessa Area

Enbridge Southern Access Extension Pipeline Project

Responsibilities: Include managing all ground disturbance/excavation activities during mainline and facility construction of the 24” Southern Access Extension Pipeline. Worked with the Enbridge management core team to plan construction of the 24” Southern Access Extension Pipeline. Assisted team leaders in developing plans to safely test, clean and remove the abandoned 10” Luxor Pipeline. Developed contingency plans and maps to further break down test sections in the event the pipe did not pass test. Developed the Enbridge below grade facilities management plan that outlines underground utility excavation standards. Developed procedure for all way locate contractors to map and submit deliverables of existing utilities found ahead of construction crews. Trained client and contractor personnel in Enbridge and OSHA excavation guidelines and policies. Worked with inspection staff and contractor management in the field to ensure procedures were being followed and provided insight and guidance when needed. Worked closely with Ground Disturbance Supervisors assigned to each spread to ensure thorough understanding and compliance of project requirements related to excavation throughout the project. Worked closely with the survey coordinator and all way locate contractors to ensure proper locating procedures were performed and line locate deliverables were submitted accurate and on time. Assisted the Enbridge safety team to ensure Enbridge and OSHA guidelines were followed and maintained on all project excavations. Developed on-site procedures and requirements for required documents and permitting during construction. Reviewed existing project information on foreign facilities, office and field verified completeness and accuracy. Worked with Illinois 811 to ensure the contractor maintained compliance with required state laws for excavation.

Enbrdige Sand Piper Pipeline Project

Responsibilities: Include overseeing multiple survey crews during the preliminary and cadastral surveys on the eastern 320 miles (Minnesota, North Dakota State Line to Superior Wisconsin) of the proposed Enbridge Sandpiper Pipeline. Worked closely with survey crew leaders to plan daily survey activities and ensure efficient progress and data collection. Communicated with the right of way department to acquire landowner survey permissions for properties crews needed to access and developed Trimble DC files to show properties where permission could not be acquired. Worked closely with subcontractor hired to assist with the cadastral survey, lead weekly meetings to discuss progress, budget, schedule and deliverable. Created large project spreadsheets to track progress and budgets in real time. Performed QA/QC of all survey data collected and deliverables to be submitted to Enbridge. Lead weekly meetings with the client (Enbridge) to discuss current progress, weekly look ahead of planned activities, deliverables and budget. Developed plan to meet Enbridge safety and MN DOT requirements and acquired permits for crews to work within state HWY right of ways. Worked with MN DOT to gain passwords and access to the Minnesota VRS Network. Worked with Sea Floor Systems to acquire a sonar device that paired with our Trimble GPS units to ensure safe and accurate profiles of all of major river crossings across the project. After preliminary and cadastral surveys were completed under budget and ahead of schedule I began working for the client in-house from the Superior Wisconsin office. Worked under the guidance of Enbridge’s licensed surveyors and design team using AutoCAD Civil 3D to draft all parcels the proposed route crossed based on property deed records. Once all parcels were drafted I imported the project GIS property data and corrected parcels to eliminate GIS error then exported the corrected information and updated the ArcGIS database.

Talisman Entergy And Enterprise Product Partners

Responsibilities: Include preliminary design, cadastral survey, construction staking and As-Built survey of multiple 8”-16” gathering system pipelines for Talisman Energy. Worked closely with supervisor, field engineer and landowners to plan and draft the best possible route for proposed gathering lines. Worked closely with construction contractor to field adjust problem areas and ensure efficient construction. Performed material calculations for contractor superintendent to order pipe and fittings for gathering lines and laterals connecting at the gas wells. Surveyed integrity work performed by Enterprise Product Partners. Located and staked test sections and dig sites on existing pipelines that were to be tested. Worked closely with the Enterprise land agents to determine access, easement and work space rights at each dig site. Performed calculations to accurately draft and stake the determined acreage at each dig site. Staked work space and easement boundaries and performed As-Built survey of all test headers, fittings and pipe replacement. Performed all way locates to find and mark lateral lines and foreign utilities within the work sites.

Enbridge Alberta Clipper Pipeline Project And El Paso Ruby Pipeline Project

Responsibilities: Include staking right of way and work space boundaries for construction and As-Built surveys for the 36” Enbridge Alberta Clipper pipeline and the 42” El Paso Ruby pipeline. Recorded and logged pipe data, created As-Built filed notes, pipe tallies and red-lined IFC drawings. Collected GPS data for all pipe installed. Worked closely with Native Americans to locate specific sacred monuments and develop archeological site construction plans. Set AGM’s and pipeline markers in accordance to DOT and client standards.

Responsibilities: Include using conventional survey methods to perform various boundary surveys dividing properties to be sold. Assisted in researching monument records and property deeds. Established existing property corners and set new corners where properties were divided.

Mulitiple Pipeline Projects

Responsibilities: Include preliminary, cadastral, construction staking and As-Built surveys of multiple major pipeline projects. Performed preliminary survey, wetland profiles, construction staking, and As-Built survey of the 42” Gulf South / Boardwalk Gulf Crossing pipeline project. Preliminary survey and construction staking of Martin Energy underground propane storage lines. Final topographical survey of the 42” Center Point pipeline. Construction staking and As-Built survey of the 42” Enbridge Southern Access pipeline. Preliminary and cadastral survey of the 24” Leaf River Energy dual loop lines.

North East Louisiana Oil Field

Responsibilities: Include gas well and tank battery hook ups. Once the wells were drilled and the drilling rig was moved we installed all necessary lines and components to process and sell the product to the facilities. Installed high pressure flow lines from the well head to separators, dehydrators and meter runs. Installed all necessary ball valves, check valves and dump valves to safely operate the system. Installed dump lines to onsite oil and water tank batteries. Installed oil and water tank batteries including fitting tanks with stairs, platforms, vents and drain lines. Laid small gathering lines connecting multiple wells to collect product and deliver it to processing facilities. Performed facility maintenance including valve and pipe replacements to ensure integrity and safety throughout the facilities.
