I am currently a full time employee at Navy Federal Credit Union working as a Network Operations specialist. I carry out various alerts from branches across the world and take vendor tickets to ensure branches and their systems are up and running. I have prior knowledge of information technology and Cisco which allows me to excel in my role.Prior to my position at Navy Federal, I did six months of study information technology with the Year-Up program. I learned multiple hard skills that will benefit me in any IT position. These skills have provided me the confidence to properly install, configure and troubleshoot many different parts of a computer. I also have learned soft skills like how to send a professional email. These skills are vital to any IT position and make me a great candidate for any job. While Year Up has further developed my IT knowledge my course in CCNA Routing and Switching has given me all the knowledge on networking. While taking these courses I was able to obtain my CCNA ICND1 Entry Level Technician Certification. Lastly, I did a six month corporate internship at Navy federal that taugh me the skills I needed to excel in my role today.
