An Aircraft Armament Systems Instructor Subject Matter Expert develops courseware for the highly advanced F-15 SA Fighter Jet. This is the technically advanced version of the one of the world’s most successful fighter aircraft. Subject Matter Experts develops courseware lessons that will be part of a comprehensive development effort, focusing on all maintenance courseware to address all functional systems on the aircraft. As a Subject Matter Experts, I join a collaborative team of Subject Matter Experts, Graphics Designers/Artists, Courseware Developers and Technical Writers, to build Instructional Courseware for the F-15 SA.

As an Ordnance Mechanic II, I remove and install aircraft guns and ammunition handling system components to assist with upgrade modifications of USAF aircraft. I comply with phase inspection requirements, time compliance technical order requirements, clean, lubricate, repair, and/or replace parts and assemblies. I am tasked with complying with system operational and functional checks. I am involved with removing, repairing, and installing aircraft bomb ejector racks, rocket, missile and special weapons launching equipment and weapons system on various aircraft. I also assist with removal of explosive cartridges in aircraft fire extinguishing systems as well as assisting with other egress work in preparation for flight and storage for various aircraft in the AMARG located in Tucson, AZ.

During my enlistment in the USAF, I was able to experience many different facets of my career field. I have 4 years F-16 block 40 CCIP upgraded models. I installed and removed weapon suspension equipment to include Wing weapons pylons, under wing adaptors, LAU-129/128, 16S210 missile launcher, MAU-12, BRU-46/47 on F-16, F-15 and A-10 USAF Aircraft. I performed operation and functional test on installed weapon suspension equipment. On a regular basis, I disassembled repaired, modified, reassembled and performed bench check of weapons suspension equipment due scheduled and unscheduled inspections. I have the skill to use such measuring devices as a feeler gauge, dial gauges, micrometers, voltmeters and ammeters. I have the ability to interpret and apply technical orders. Blue prints, schematic drawings and other technical information. I was considered subject matter expert on F-16 for troubleshooting and repairing armament systems malfunctions and pilot reported discrepancies by using weapons test equipment such as Store System Tester (SST), Mux bus fault isolator, -501 tester, 50/60 tester, T-198/T-199 testers and Multi meter. During my enlistment I held positions in weapons F-15 and F-16 back shop, F-15E weapons standardization and F-16 weapons standardization as well as my time on the flight line for A-10,F-15, and F-16 aircraft. During my enlistment I received multiple Air force Achievement and Commendation medals for meritorious service.
