Corey Rose serves as the Vice President of Global Investment & Innovation at Opportunity Austin, a premier economic development organization representing the greater Austin region. In this capacity, Corey spearheads the development and execution of international and domestic initiatives aimed at championing economic growth. Working closely with key stakeholders, he focuses on the Texas innovation ecosystem, monitoring global innovation trends and fostering strategic collaborations.Previously, as the Assistant Secretary of State for International Affairs for the Office of the Texas Secretary of State, Corey represented the state of Texas in international relations and diplomatic affairs. Serving under five different Secretaries of State, he also managed vital government relations and international projects, leveraging his expertise to establish connections between global, regional, and state entities.Corey's professional journey spans roles in media, politics, and government with organizations like Foreign Policy magazine, NPR, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He holds a Bachelor’s in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and is an MBA candidate at the University of Texas at Dallas. Combining his vast experience and education, Corey continues to push boundaries in technology and innovation, driving economic growth in the Austin region.
