I supported operation of control systems for propulsion wind tunnel testing. I developed a Delphi-based software that simulated control system kinematics and logic. This software was used to expedite development of a data acquisition system that communicated with the control system software/hardware over a reflective memory cross domain interface. The job also required PLC and control system hardware troubleshooting.

I worked as part of an electronics development team in the Planetary Surface Instruments group. I revised and developed elements of a custom ion trap mass spectrometer PDU used for the Spacecraft Atmosphere Monitor (SAM), which is a GC-MS designed to provide major constituent and trace gas analysis for human spaceflight operations.Responsibilities included design and revisioning of electronics for an ion trap mass spectrometer power distribution system, generating master equipment list and power equipment list for power distribution board, conducting electronic part stress analysis (EPSA), completing EPSA paperwork, redlining schematic revisions, designing Linear Technology based switch-mode power supplies, designing a PCB for mixed AC/DC and high-speed switching circuits, modifying and installing ground support equipment, and generating electrical schematics

The experiment analyzed the interaction of polydimethylsiloxane and popular aerospace polymers over the course of 3 months. Responsibilities required programming in C and Python on a UNIX operating system, design of models using Solidworks, PCB design, testing and verification, data analysis, and construction of flight model.
