The Northfield Public Schools Board of Education is the governing body of the school district, responsible for developing policy to ensure the proper care, management and control of district affairs, and supporting the mission of educating the students in the school district to reach their full potential.As part of my duties, I also serve on the District Collective Bargaining team, the Board Meet and Confer Committee, Community Education Advisory Council, Financial Advisory Committee and Professional Growth Committee. I previously served on the Policy Committee and Legislative Action Committee and represented the district with Schools for Equity in Education.I was elected in November 2020 and reelected in November 2024.

I've co-hosted four shows since 2015, including: • "Christmas on the Cannon," a seasonal, weekly show every December highlighting co-host Rich Larson and my favorite Christmas songs, along with the stories behind our choices, as well as trivia and other interesting Christmas insight. For the show, I interviewed Rick Goldschmidt, the official biographer and historian of Rankin/Bass Productions, creators of popular TV specials "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Frosty the Snowman" and "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town," among others.• "This Northfield Life," a guest-driven weekly program co-hosted with Brad Ness focused on Northfielders about who they are, their history with the city and what they do in the community. Ultimately, this was a show about people and how they help make Northfield the place we call home. • "On Tap with Corey and Ira," a bi-weekly show co-hosted with Ira Carlson focused on long-form interviews with people in the brewing industry about their businesses, products and aspirations, coupled with various other recurring segments.• "Occasional Cannons," an offshoot of "Christmas on the Cannon" where co-host Rich Larson and I delve into music for other holidays and the meaning behind the music and holidays. Shows so far include: "St. Patrick's on the Cannon," "Independence on the Cannon," "Halloween on the Cannon" and "Labor Day on the Cannon."
