Creates curricula for and directs after school garden programming for four different highschool clubs, including Gardening and Cooking Clubs. Plans and maintains school garden spaces at David Douglas High School, implementing and teaching sustainable and regenerative growing strategies. Hosts three high school interns for a summer garden internship; teaches a gardening elective for incoming freshmen with interns during 9th Grade Counts Program. Connects with other high school partner organizations to involve the school garden in their own programming and to teach special garden and cooking lessons to different student groups.

Led research and design of new grant-funded program distributing free greenhouses tocommunity members and farmers. Ensured planned program aligned with needs and goals set by executive director and program directors, as well as grant requirements. Facilitated communications between staff, community members, local farmers, non-profit partners, and contractors. Assisted grant writers in creating a detailed plan, budget, MOU, and narrative for the program to submit to USDA.

Lived and worked at Peachwood Orchard in Hood River. Assisted in all farm tasks including crop planning, sowing seed, weeding, irrigation installation, infrastructure planning, thinning fruits, harvest, sales, and accounting. Took on leadership role with farm volunteers on farmers’ market team and in daily farmtasks. Engaged in class series learning about different aspects of organic farming in the PacificNorthwest and touring multiple farms throughout the Portland metro area.

Tutored second and eighth graders at Tunbridge Public Charter School in Math and Readinglessons. Assisted teachers in reinforcing material learned in class.
