Reporting to the Senior Director of Manufacturing and the VP of Service, managed the Service Logistics department. Responsible for the materials management of service inventory and the timely, cost-effective repair of medical devices. As a member of the M&A team, successfully managed two mergers introducing new product lines to the service department. Managed down time to a minimum by seamlessly integrating operations into the facility. Reduced returned goods inventory by $500,000 by developing an Access database to organize data and collaborate with product management. Implemented a Kanban system to improve efficiencies in repair processes resulting in an OEM service exchange inventory reduction of $80,000. As part of a Lean program, implemented 5S (later 6S) in the department. Achieved stellar marks during 6S audits that resulted in becoming a required tour-stop when hosting outside visitors.

Held several positions of increasing responsibility, most recently that of Materials Manager reporting to the VP of Operations. Led the planning and opening of a new 60,000 square foot facility inclusive of layout design, equipment procurement, staffing, and material transfer. Resulted in eliminating outsourced warehousing costs by over $100,000 per year. Managed a project that reduced inventory by $15 million by developing an Access database that organized data to collaborate with Sales and Marketing. Using project management techniques, managed simultaneous multi-site annual physical inventories for six locations. Effectively managed these projects by working with a 3rd party vendor to develop an Access database and independently developed communications, procedures, and Gantt charts resulting in minimal downtime and accurate results. Initiated a project team to implement a shipping software package that resulted in improved data sharing across the entire organization.
