I have acquired many unique skills working at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. For most of the time I have been employed at the library I have worked in a senior role in the Makerspace helping to supervise projects with staff and patrons. With this role I have been tasked with learning many skill unrelated to a typical library worker. I have had to learn the Adobe Creative Suite, mostly Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere, to help patrons with projects that ranged from creating a simply logo to removing backgrounds in photos to compiling 600+ books to be printed on our Espresso Book Machine. And from there I help the customers use any number of our machines, such as the laser engraver, the vinyl printer, the 3D printer, the recording booth and the UV printer. And sometimes this happens all at the same time.
