I am currently working as a SQL Developer for a large engagement within the insurance where I work on data patches, bugs and deployments.Previously I worked in the finance sector as a service provision lead where I look to improve its efficiency and quality. On the same engagement I worked as a database and middleware administrator working with a wide array of technologies and software giving me a very steep but enjoyable learning curve.I had also picked up work withing another smaller engagement to support the SQL Server DB systems with daily quality checks and out of hours activities. These roles in the IT industry demonstrated my ability to pick and learn any new technology presented and my dedication to make sure I can provide the best service possible for a customer. All this at the same time as completing my apprenticeship qualifications was an excellent way for me to develop my communication and ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. I am eager to keep pushing onwards and developing my career and skillset within a new environment with frequently undertaking work on new technologies through internal projects and SIPs. I have been in the IT industry for near a decade already after starting my first job in the industry at 19.
