Over the past year I've learned fish butchery to make sushi, sashimi, and other prepared food items with some of the highest quality seafoods in New York City at Osakana, a Japanese fish market in the East Village.I've learned how to sharpen my knife on a wet stone and identify a variety of local and Japanese sushi-grade seafoods in order to process in-person and online orders. I also prepare cold line items, stock the store, as well as clean dishes and my station. Perhaps most importantly, I provide excellent customer service to assist and teach customers on how to buy fish and make sushi at home.
