Moved up to this role from the position of Content Marketing Specialist, lending insights and expertise to additional writers as demand for our services grew exponentially. This demand outstripped our capacity with a single internal writer, and so three additional writers would be taken on during this tenure.Was responsible for a wide array of processes related to content deliverables for seoplus+ clients. These included research and analysis, preliminary content drafting, client outreach when sourcing additional insights/direction, basic, line, and substantive editing, proofreading, deliverable planning and strategy, and general revisions. Also edited, mentored, and provided ample support/feedback/insights/quality assurance to our three additional internal writers.Ensured optimal value and production efficiency for the clients who counted on us, working closely with various internal departments. Particularly focused on collaboration and brainstorming amongst Content Department team members including our highly dedicated copywriters and coordination staff.

Initially wrote for seoplus+ as an external full-time freelancer before being taken on internally in August 2017. For much of this Content Marketing Specialist tenure, I operated as the agency’s sole internal writer. Moved up to the role of Senior Content Writer & Editor upon additional writing staff joining the team.Responsibilities included working closely on a daily basis with clients and team members to help their content vision flourish and become a tangible reality. A comprehensive and dedicated study of professional-level writing was harnessed to create compelling, reader-friendly content to help local and international businesses succeed. Specializations include brand revitalization, short-form/long-form blog and webpage content creation, whitepaper drafting and capturing/innovating upon existing content tone. Day-to-day services were driven by a meticulous attention to detail, a true passion for creativity, and a dedication to storytelling.

Worked as a full-time/part-time baker and front-of-house staff during this tenure, switching to part-time employment when attending Algonquin College and searching for writing/editing internships. Maintained quality control, customer satisfaction, team spirit and a welcoming atmosphere. This long-term role ensured thorough understanding and respect for quality control in addition to time and crisis management.

Assisted with communications/PR-based assignments at CHEO. Specific duties included meeting with and interviewing staff, collecting data to create articles pertaining to internal improvements which are published on CHEO's intranet. Other duties included collaborating with staff to seek approval on written content, as well as interviewing staff for "Getting to Know You" sections of internal newsletter, CHEO Chatter.

Worked with legislative directorates on editing initiatives, strategic outlooks and achievements. Repurposed content to adhere to governmental standards of communication and policy conveyance. Assisted in the development of the Senate Administration 2016-2017 Business Plan through substantive and literary editing, restructuring, readability (language level) maintenance and repurposing content.Placement concluded April 22nd, 2016.
