I am a sophomore at De Anza Community College and currently studying Business Marketing. I have goals of obtaining an Associates degree under Business Entrepreneurship during my time at De Anza and then transferring to 4-year university such as San Diego State. I am an alumni of the Leigh High School graduating class of 2022. At Leigh, I played varsity basketball where I was awarded the First Annual "Glue Player" of the Year Award. Noticed for my team leadership and spirit, the "Glue Player" award represents a teammate that "keeps the team together".I am currently working as a Camp Counselor at Almaden Valley Athletic Club and I have been since last summer. As a counselor, my job is to make sure that the campers have the most fun possible while still keeping a safe environment. The camp activities often include teaching and learning important values and lessons among the campers such as positive attitudes and inclusive mindsets. The Camp Counselors at AVAC also help teach the kids how to swim and improve their swimming abilities. The position does require one to be trained in a variety of ways such as life guard certification, AED and CPR certification, and "swim level" certification as our camp takes on an abundant amount of activities.I have strong interpersonal skills such as communication and negotiation, decision making abilities, leadership, team collaboration, and resilience.
