* Primary advisor to the Adjutant General, and the Director of the Joint Staff on matters of short, mid, and long-term programs.* Senior strategic and long-range planner and consultant responsible for developing the Joint Force Headquarters-State view of the future and implementing detailed strategic policy, plans, initiatives, and concepts.

* Managed and directed the administration, coordination, planning and development of all NVARNG programs. * Responsible to ensure effective communication of organizational strategies, goals, objectives, and priorities both internally and externally. Assessed ARNG program developments, requirements, and processes. * Managed a full time force of over 600 military and civilian personnel.* Responsible for the successful execution of almost $45 million dollars.* Led our full time federal technician force through sequestration, furlough, and government shutdown with minimal disruption. * During this time, the NVARNG ranked in the top ten 54 states and territories for personnel readiness.

* Responsible for the readiness of over 3200 Army National Guard personnel which included responsibility for providing deployable Soldiers, personnel force structure, sustaining personnel strength authorizations, setting the conditions for and building future personnel strength, and for ensuring the care and welfare of assigned Soldiers and their families. * Planned, reviewed, and approved contingency, mobilization, deployment and re-deployment and strategic plans.* Led and managed the Recruiting and Retention team, the Officer Management team, the Enlisted Management team, the Incentives Support team, and the Deputy State Surgeons office, all of which consisted of almost 100 personnel. * Managed an overall budget of $3 million. * Led the Nevada Army National Guard to the highest level of personnel readiness in years. Within six months of assuming that position, Nevada was ranked number one in the nation in overall personnel readiness. * Met recruiting and retention metrics, medical readiness metrics, and timeliness metrics across the board. * Co-chair responsible for hosting the 2012 NGAUS conference in Nevada; a conference with over 3800 attendees and over 400 General Officers and VIPs. * Served as a member of our Joint Diversity Executive Council and was instrumental in revitalizing the diversity program in the Nevada Army National Guard.

* Served as liaison officer between two, three star commands in a combat theater. * Responsible for effectively communicating plans and policies, lines of effort and building relationships to ensure efforts were synchronized and in tangent. * Conducted battlefield circulation throughout Afghanistan to help resolve identified issues regarding Afghan logistics.

* Served as a full deputy to the Logistics Management Officer (G-4). * Planned, organized, and oversaw the activities of the state Logistics Directorate.* Issued joint logistics sustainability planning and mobilization guidance for use by the Adjutant General, Director of the Joint Staff, and Staff Directors, Major Support Commands (MSCs), and war trace military services. * Oversaw the preparation of joint logistics and mobilization studies, estimates, and plans and provided a single point of contact to facilitate all logistics initiatives.

* Served as Contract Specialist for the Nevada Army National Guard and as the Base Contracting Officer for the Nevada Air National Guard. * Held an unlimited contracting warrant. * Exercised unlimited contracting certification authority in oversight and/or accomplishment of procurement of a variety of complex supply, service, construction, architect-engineer, automated data processing equipment/software/supply/items and services. * Exercised delegated Contracting Officer authority. * Functioned as a project manager of an acquisition team. * Reviewed requests for contracts and directed the activities of the acquisition team. * Participated in the development of acquisition strategies and evaluation of technical proposals. * Researched guidelines, including statutes and case law, to determine the legal basis for each uniquely flexible acquisition process utilized. * Analyzed requirements in order to develop acquisition processes that delivered basic best value products and services on a timely basis in response to agency requirements. * Ensured acquisition strategy encouraged innovation. Made local adaptations where uniformity was not essential; resulted in promotion of competition and minimized administrative operating costs. * Conducted business with integrity, fairness, and openness.
