I managed most aspects of CCDA's citizenship services by planning regular low-cost legal clinics and coordinating classes to prepare citizenship applicants for their naturalization interviews. My work included all aspects of planning and overseeing the clinics, including reviewing and submitting all citizenship applications completed. I became a DOJ accredited representative by the U.S. Department of Justice, which allowed me to practice some aspects of immigration law under CCDA. I also collected and reported program data to the program director and to grantors. I was constantly communicating with current and potential clients and spoke in both Spanish and English on a daily basis.

During my two years in the Peace Corps, I fully integrated into my small town community by learning Moroccan Arabic, adapting to cultural norms, and working with community partners to provide community services. I designed and taught programming that focused on employability, problem solving skills, English, physical health, and respecting others that impacted a total of 280 youth and 100 women throughout my service. To implement each program I participted in the full spectrum of project planning, including analyzing community needs, writing curriculum, advertising programs, recruiting students, teaching sessions, and reporting results. I also wrote a blog about my experiences that was updated at least once monthly for two years.

As the assistant to the Executive Director, I provided full-time communications and administrative support to her and to other staff. I communicated with board members, funders, donors and partners on a daily basis, I supervised interns, and I wrote content and designed images for our website, Facebook, and promotional documents. I also ensured our office ran smoothly by assisting in event planning, updating permits and accreditations, and tracking our finances.
