7th grade World Studies teacher

Taught five sections of Ancient History in an inclusion model setting. Developed curriculum materials for my subject and worked with my department to meet district goals through instruction, assessment and data analysis. Worked on a teaching team with 3 other core academic teachers as well as a special education teacher and several paraprofessionals. Directed the Drama Club for 3 years as well as three Junior High theatre productions.

Choreographed Indian Hill Music's Summer Musical Theatre's productions of "The Wizard of Oz" (2009) and "Annie" (2010) for students ages 7-16.

Worked with three youth performance troupes with ages ranging from 7-17. Worked as main stage show choreographer. Assisted the other directors of groups and shows with preparing for performances and with the planning of new numbers, costumes, lighting etc.

Fulfilled all teaching responsibilities of lead teacher on maternity leave. Delivered and created lessons. Implemented, created and graded all assessments. Worked with team of teachers on curriculum and professional development. Attended all meetings, parent-teacher conferences and maintained relationships with lead teacher and team teachers to ensure students and course remain on track.

Facilitated lower school after school program called MATES. Assisted with homework and led activities for students including games, sports and arts & crafts.

Took over full teaching responsibilities for two sections of 8th grade US History I and one section of 11th/12th grade US History. Devised all lessons and most assessments. Worked with cooperating teacher and other colleagues to collaborate on assessments, curriculum materials and modes for differentiating instruction. Participated in parent/teacher conferences, cluster and department meetings and communicated with parents via email about individual student progress.

Worked as the assistant to all associate directors for Regional Outreach and as an assistant to the Director of Alumni Outreach. Handled correspondence with alumni throughout the country and internationally, maintained event registrations for all chapter program events, researched venues, vendors, etc for events, assisted with the writing of print material to be sent to alumni and friends, managed mailings for the regional outreach team. Assisted in the execution of a variety of chapter program events, including site preparation, attendee management and communication with vendors and alumni. Most notable was my contribution to the Office of Alumni Relations' Florida Swing 2009, mainly the Huskies vs. Red Sox event in Ft. Myers. I handled the registration and assisted in the organization of this event which saw an attendance of 600 alumni, staff, family and friends.
